Walk up at Olivia's?

we are arriving on an afternoon flight in October, staying at Okw. My mum tells me today she really want to eat in Olivia's, which would be great if we weren't busy every day for the 3 nights we are there, so really the only time we could fit it in would be our arrival night. I'm put off making an ADR as its our first night and what if our plane was delayed etc? So I'm thinking we could try to get a walk up, how easy would that be? We would be likely arriving at 7:30pm.

As soon as you arrive at the resort, check to see if an ADR is available. If none, I'd still try a walk up when you're ready to eat. If that doesn't work you can always take the boat to Disney Springs and find something there. (I am a big fan of Olivia's.)

Thank you both for your replies, I hadn't thought to check for an ADR as soon as we arrive, that's a good idea as we could then head to the room and unpack a little/freshen up before heading back over there

in years of trips to OKW, I have never made an ADR for Olivias and have never had more than a short wait or non at all, if you have a short wait, just go to the Gurgling Suitcase to pass the time. If you do have a long wait, go to the Suitcase and order some appetizers there.

The night we had dinner there, they were turning away all walk-ups, even though MDE was showing multiple ADRs available as soon as 30 minutes out. But they were running rather behind seating folks, so that's why they still weren't taking walk-ups. Had those people walked away, then used their phone to grab one of the last minute ADRs, they would have been seated. So definitely check the app or website before you go.

Other than this kind of situation, has Olivia's ever been crowded enough to make an ADR? No reflection on the food or service.

This is great advice.

Most if not all of Olivia's business comes from guests at OKW. Many have cars and often go elsewhere to eat since it's pretty easy to do.

So ordinarily Olivias is never completely full--at least since we we've been at OKW (MANY years)

Is it easy to get to Olivia's from POR? We will have a car but would prefer not using it.

If you want to go to Olivia's from POR, you'll need to drive, take a boat/bus to Disney Springs and catch another boat/bus to OKW or take a cab or Uber. You cannot walk to OKW from POR.

IT would be easily walkable--if there were sidewalks!!

IF I were you I would just drive--it's such a short way. Why spend good $$ on a cab, or waste an hour taking the boat?
