Walk to quick dinner

I will be with DS and DD, both picky eaters but chicken always works. We are staying at DLH but don't have a car. Where can we walk to that would have a quick dinner at a reasonable price?

DH will be at his conference until 5 pm so we wanted to eat before he got out and then all be in the parks. DH says he will just grab something but wants time in the parks with us.

Anything in DTD.....RFC has chicken, ESPN Zone has chicken (altho we didn't like it there very much), Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen has chicken.....you could even go to Storyteller's at the GCH and PPH has a restaurant also.

My choices would be Storyteller's, RFC or the Jazz Kitchen.

Oh and if it's early enough White Water Snacks will be open, they have chicken as well and their prices are really good.

Where is white water? I also don't want to have to pay Disney prices for a quick meal.

Whitewater Snacks is the quick service restaurant at the Grand Californian.

You can walk over to Harbor Blvd from DLH. It's not as far as you might think, but you will have to go through bag check. Go straight through the plaza and out the other side. There's a McDonald's and a Mimi's Cafe (I don't know if I'd call Mimi's quick, though!) close to the gate area. There were a few other places within walking distance, but I can't remember.

The only thing about 'reasonable' price is that's a relative term. When I'm at any Disney Park, my 'reasonable' changes to a much higher number! But if you aren't looking to pay Disney prices, then I wouldn't try the aforementioned Storytellers. It's table service. We had their buffet last week, and it was pretty good, but it was $26 for adults and $12 for kids. I just don't think that's what you're looking for, but maybe I'm wrong! :)

Whitewater Snacks is at the Grand Californian and isn't expensive--we liked grabbing a bite there (we stayed offsite). The Denny's and IHOP on Harbor (just across the street from Disneyland) aren't expensive and are child friendly places.

When at Disney, I pretty much put myself in the mindset that I will be paying Disney prices for everything. Jazz Kitchen Express in DTD might satisfy most of your needs. They offer chicken, speed, and simplicity.

Ok I totally disagree about the IHOP, it is extremely expensive there but the Denny's are just like your hometown Denny's. Prices are comparable and the service is very fast. OP asked for close by the hotel, that's why I didn't talk about Harbor. Mimi's is very good, huge portions, decent prices, there is also Millie's on Harbor, also good and not overpriced but Mimi's is much better. If you do go to Harbor I will say absolutely do NOT go to Captain Kidd's....it's disgusting. Absolutely gross and yucky. If you just want something for the kids to eat it's probably fine, but my salad was nasty, the cucumbers were dry and shriveled, onions were supposed to be red but were mostly pink.....altho I did eat a few of them. The lettuce itself was actually see thru, yes, I could pick it up and see thru it....GROSS!! I ate the cheese and the croutons, the little grape tomatoes and a few of the onions...but overall it was nasty. DBF did a buffet they have, he said everything was dried out and it was gross so please don't go there. :)

If you want to go farther down Harbor you've the Garden Walk, lots of places to eat there at good prices.

Storyteller's does have a regular menu available, you don't have to order the buffet but if you're looking to avoid "park prices" you may want to chose elsewhere. When we eat there I enjoy the corn chowder and a salad, very good but yes, $$$. :)

Coco's is decent, and they are just down Disneyland Drive (if that street name is wrong, it's the street that goes between PPH and the Grand...when you walk out of DLH under the big hat, turn right, go towards PPH, then just keep walking down that street and you'll see Coco's across Katella).

There's also Tiffy's there too, but reviews on Tiffy's have been half and half.
