Walk to Fantasia Mini Golf from the Beach Club?

Want to go miniature golfing, while we are visiiting WDW in June, and wondering just how far a walk the Fantasia mini golf is from the Beach Club? I read that it is near the Swan but across the Buena Vista Drive. Does that mean I have to walk across a highway with my 12 year old grandson? We will be checking into the Beach Club Villas, and a trip to play mini golf would fit nicely into the time we will probably have to wait for our room to be ready. We mini golfed there before, and liked it a lot. Has anybody actually walked this distance before? How long does it take? I have never stayed at any of the Epcot resorts, so I am not familiar with the area. All of the info on the Fantasia mini golf, says that you can walk from the Swan. Any information, would be appreciated. Thanks

We walk there one year and I dont remember crossing the highway. Anyone else?

from another web-site...

WDW TRANSPORTATION: You can get to Fantasia Gardents by taking WDW Resort transportation to the Dolphin, followed by a short walk from the hotel. If you take a boat to the Dolphin, go through the hotel to get to the parking lot entrance. It is across the street from here. If you take the bus to the Dolphin it's across the street. Either way, once you arrive at the Dolphin, inquire for directions. Use caution crossing the street on foot!

ON FOOT: From Disney's BoardWalk Resort, cut through the resort lobby to the Boardwalk. Turn left and continue to the end between Atlantic Dance and Jelly Rolls Piano Bar. Cross the bridge toward the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin and continue straight ahead to the street. Fantasia is on the left and the tennis courts are on the right. (If the big tent is set up, guests may walk through the tent.)

We've walked it a few times in February. Wasn't a bad walk at all. The crosswalk is quite large and well marked. Traffic wasn't heavy at all, but we did wait a few minutes because we didn't want to "rush" across and if I remember correctly you can stop 1/2 way across (Darn it.. can't remember) and wait again.
I would assume and a leisurely pace it would take about 10 minutes to walk from the BCV. The first time we walked we took the looonng way around but if you go around the swan? by the pool/play area it doesn't seem long at all.
Clear as mud? :)

Yup, you can stop halfway across. There's a divider there.

Thanks for all the quick replies. Seems easy enough. We will be checking into the Beach Club villas around noon. Since the villas check in time is 4 p.m. we need some activity to fill in the time before we get into our room and head off to Epcot for their late night. A trip to mini golf and lunch at Beaches and Cream, or lunch at Beaches and Cream followed by mini golf should fill in the time about right. We are staying at the Beach Club, following a 4 night stay at POR, so we may or may not immediately be hungry, that's why the two plans, We definitely want to eat at Beaches and Cream. We have heard rave reviews about it Thanks

We didn't do this for the longest time. But when we visited in Nov and stayed at BWV, we finally made the effort. So worth it. It's an easy walk from BC/YC/BW. It's fairly well marked. The street you cross isn't that big of a deal. Not a huge amount of traffic. I think there's more traffic in front of my house!!! And the minigolf is wonderful. A beautiful course with terrific themeing. You will love it!!!

Well I think from the beach club it is a bit of a walk - but no real busy streets to worry about. If you are tired for the walk back remember you can catch the boat at the Dolphin/Swan launch site right across the street from the mini-golf and hop a boat to the beach club. :jumping1: Had to play with the new smilies

We've done this our last 2 visits and we have enjoyed if very much. We too have been at the Beach Club Villas and I would estimate it is about a 10 or 15 minute leisurely walk. As others have said, walk between the Swan and Dolphin, by the pool, to the street. The crosswalk will be right in front of you. You can stop at the island in the middle to let traffic pass, if necessary. I didn't find the traffic excessive, and we easily crossed each time. The golf courses are lots of fun and I think your Grandson will enjoy it. Be sure to take a close look at the "Tee's". Enjoy!

It's an easy walk - and you don't walk across a highway, rather the road that you turn into to check into YC/BC. There's a pedestrian walkway. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to walk there. And what a lovely walk it is!

Thanks to everyone for their responses. We will definitely do this on our next trip.

You are not crossing Buena Vista Drive, but Epcot Resorts Boulevard, which is not a major road, but you still have to be careful. The mini golf is closer to the Swan.
