Walk to DD or any parks from offsite??

Are there any motels/hotels close enough to DD or any parks to actually walk there?? Even if its a kind of long walk? Or are they all too far removed to ever consider this? (not including the seven official Disney hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd) Thanks!

You can not walk to any of the parks from non Disney hotels. You may be able to walk to DD from a few close to the North entrance but it would be a long haul and I wouldn't recommend it.

I agree. Its way too far to walk.

On the contrary, you can easily walk from the Hilton to DTD. It takes less than 5 minutes.

But that's about all I know of.

Yes but the Hilton is one of the Plaza Blvd hotels that the original poster was not including. I have stayed at the Days Inn (and would not recommend it as a hotel) and walked but that was in cooler December weather. Remember, that most of the year, it is very hot and humid so after a day at the parks, that might not be a walk that you want to do.

I'm not sure that you can walk to the Disney parks even if it were close enough. I was told that most of the roads around Disney are considered highways and don't have sidewalks. I was staying at the Wyndham last year and thought that I could have walked to Typhoon Lagoon since it was almost across the street from DTD ... but was told that I couldn't.
