Walk or Water Taxi to IOA?

Would you walk or take the water taxi to IOA from RPR for EE into Harry Potter? Will probably have a time of around 7:50 a.m. for leaving RPR. Just how long of a walk is it?

I would walk..it is 5-7 mins ..the boats have to dock at the hotel, let people off, wait several mins to let people on then go to citywalk, dock and unload again..

From my experience, walking is typically quicker than taking the boat. With the boat, it comes down to timing. If the boat is approaching the dock or is currently loading when you get to the dock, then you're better off taking the boat. Also, if you're in tower 1 or 2, you should be able to cut through the pool area to get to the walking path, cutting out the minutes that it takes walking around the pool area.

since the EE hotel guests are sometimes let in 15 minutes prior to opening time, i would walk it if i left rph at 7:50.

I would, and usually do, walk it . We stayed at PBH and walked using the shortcut Robo suggested and it was very fast. Sunday we did the studios and got there at 8:30 and they were opening he park early which was nice .

We did EE for WWOHP Saturday and got there right at 8 and waited 30 min for the ride. When we got out the wait was already 45-60 min wait. Busy weekend but lots and lots of fun. Love staying onsite for all the Perks.

Thanks for that, but I was hoping to get the shortcut to Portofino Bay (or is it the same). Having never been before I have no point of reference for any of these places, however I know we plan on walking to and from the parks since the gym is $10 per day
