Walk me through the Target card deal

I've read a few posts where people are talking about getting gift cards at Target and getting a discount. Will someone walk me through how that works?

I'm not a big Target shopper, but I've got a Red card. Our Target doesn't have a pharmacy, but it has Starbucks.

Can I use these discount cards to pay off my Disney VISA or only to pay Disney directly?

When you purchase a Disney GC at Target using your REDCard, you will get a 5% discount on your purchase. It's that easy!

You cannot use GCs to pay off your Visa bill but you can use them to pay Disney for your room, tickets, food, souvenirs, etc.

If you have a redcard account, you can make the purchase on line. I just went and added ten gc to my cart ($500), and the total was $475. Would save $25.

There's a debit card option that is linked to your checking account. It is free, you just save money.

I have a Target red card along with a 5% off coupon from the Target pharmacy. I purchased $3250 worth of gift cards for a savings of $316!!!! Took about an hour & 20 min on the phone with the best disney CM "Clay" to pay for my entire trip!!! A pharmacy coupon is acquired when you have a pharmacy rewards card & fill 5 prescriptions

As far as I know, pretty much anywhere on Disney property that accepts credit cards will accept Disney Gift Cards. Another option is to use your KTTW card or MagicBand and then use the gift cards to pay off your room charges.

Beginning of this year I was given 2 Disney GCs and on neither the site or over the phone was I allowed to use more than 2 methods of payment. SO, I was able to purchase our APs but I had to do it as two seperate functions. I don't know how you can use multiple GC's to pay for your vacation. Was it because I was using the DVC member services?

When you buy your GCs online, do they mail you physical gift cards, or give you the codes at purchase?

I like the idea of not having to drive to Target to get them "as I go" (as I basically have our trip on layaway, and pay a little with each paycheck ), but not sure about having a package of active cards coming in the mail...

They mail the cards to you.

In all likelihood, yes, it was because you were going through MS. They may not have been aware that they could have redirected your call to ticketing where you would have been able to pay with multiple GCs and still get your DVC discount.

Got the 5% off! Now I will wait until my 5% pharmacy reward comes in the mail in a few weeks. I wonder if you can use it online with ordering the gift cards also...

No. It's already been tried and it won't work.
