Walk me through the dosh app?

It looks like they want a lot of information. I downloaded the app tonight and it won't even let me link a credit card unless I give them the login info to my bank account!?

I've seen this app mentioned quite a bit over the last couple years. Any frequent users out there want to comment on how much information you have given them and whether or not you've had any issues with questionable changes to your accounts or credit?

Also, is there a way around giving them my bank account login information?

Not familiar with that app, but I would NEVER give a 3rd party your bank login information no matter who they are. Transferring of funds uses your bank account/routing #, NOT your logon id. Just TOO many things can go wrong when you give someone else your logon id. Even if they are legit (and I have no idea if they are/aren't), what if they get hacked and someone steals that type of information? Someone with your bank login info can transfer funds OUT of your account to someone else.

I don't know of any legit website/app that asks for personal login information from another site to transact business. I would be VERY careful what information I provide them.

I linked cards by inputting the card number and expiration date and CVV. For payout, you can do PayPal or Venmo. Not sure what's up with the bank account log in?? I've been using dosh for a long time and it is great. Pei, however, you do login to your various card issuers to link up.

Be sure it is the official DOSH app and not a counterfeit to steal your information. Been using DOSH for over a year and they never asked for bank log in info, just basic CC numbers or PayPal/Venmo account.
