I just feel like I haven't posted anything over here in so long! so....
hi, friend!
have a great Easter weekend!
hi, friend!

have a great Easter weekend!

I've been lurking, reading, and wishing I had half your creativity when it comes to outfits and details...
But I wanted to pop in with a suggestion for your feet. I also have foot (and knee!) problems, so I need to wear comfy, supportive shoes at Disney World, too! Before our last trip, back in 2012, I'd read about some really super cushy, supportive socks, the brand name was Thorlo. They were expensive enough that I nearly choked when I looked them up online, but I bought a few to try out, because I knew that if I lost a day or more at Disney to pain in my feet/knee, I'd be losing out on a lot more money - and fun! I was amazed at how well they worked. No blisters, no hot spots, and my feet felt almost as good at the end of the day as they had at the start. Amazing! It might be worth checking into, as something else to keep your feet in good shape on your trip! I'm planning a Disney trip in October, myself - and on my to-do list is a few more pairs...![]()
I meant to add in my previous post that I have feet issues too - I have plantar fasciitis and knee problems - I thought I was going to have to have surgery to remove/repair a torn meniscus in my left knee when we got back from WDW, but I had absolutely no knee pain while we were there - or any issues with the fasciitis.
You can soak your feet in Epsom salts each evening - you can fill the tub with hot water and add the Epsom salts - makes your feet feel better.
If you do a search on running socks, there is a list of the top 11 running socks - Thorlo is on it as well as Balega, and a bunch of others. All are expensive though.
I have a pair of Converse sneakers that I love, but they don't love my feet. Absolutely no arch support in them, and after wearing for a very short while, my feet hurt, so I understand about not wearing flat soled shoes! I added a pair of arch support insoles to them and I can wear them for a longer period of time, but I'd never be able to wear them all day in the parks.
Boy, THIS is the key! Take it a bit easier since you'll be there so many days. The girls will be better able to cope as well and won't get burned out and have melt downs if you slow down. It is VERY hard to do, especially when you first get there and are so excited to be there! But you'll settle in after a couple of days and it actually gets easier to slow down. It is soooo nice to have lots of days!!
Tess is giving you some great advise! In fact, you're getting lots of good advice from lots of people. That's one thing I just love about the DIS. Everyone is so willing to share their tips to help make your trip more magical.
I'm so glad you are already walking. That will help so much. And, yes, Texas is BIG!!! Our twin nephews live in Austin and that's quite a hike for a visit from Dallas.
Have a great day!!
I just heard that the dates for the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party were released and I can't remember if you booked yours yet? Just saw it this morning!
After our STL Dismeet/play date where Lori and Jackie raved about you, I knew I had to find your PTR and check it out! I'm LOVING all the shoes and shirts! You are sooooo talented! And I'm insanely jealous that you will all be there at the same time! I'm loving all of your plans and can't wait to see more/share in the excitement as the days tick by!

Now I just have to decide what I want to do for my shoes!
Just got all caught up. I don't really know what to say since I'm not crafty and my feet do fine in moisture-wicking socks and walking shoes at Disney. But looks like things are coming along great and I love the adorable picture of your girls! And my memory of staying in Parterre Place is that the walk to the main building was much shorter than anything you'd have at a value resort. We went to the main bus stop most of the time - it was just across the river, really. Not bad at all.
The shoes came out AWESOME!!!
Checking in with you! Hope you have a wonderful blessed Easter!
Finally catching up after my trip!
I hope you enjoy the dessert party. We did it on our trip as well. As a side note, we also stayed at POR. We were right next to the East Depot. I actually suggest going to any other depot BUT the South one. That's always the busiest one and by the time the bus usually makes it there, there aren't any seats left.
Just stopping in to say HI.
Hope all is well with you!

Well today we had to move from POR RR to CSR BC to get the FD so we will have to be happy to be there now........lol
Where are youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Welcome back! I was missing all your crafty and bubbly/excited posts!I think you made a great choice changing to Pop! I could totally see myself in the same position and doing the same thing. Just a relief and giddiness to get everything you want plus extras, all paid for, and then get some money back? Saaaweet!! And thumbs up on Preferred rooms, I think those are a great and worth while indulgence if you really want it(which normally I do!
). Happy to hear that all is well with you and the fam and that GFIL is on the mend! Visiting family in the hospital is quite awful I must say! Yay more shoes! I love the Snow White ones! Can't wait to see what you do with Wreck-it Ralph!
Yay, you're back! Those towels are awesome! I love them!!!
We love staying at POP. I think you'll be very happy there! Plus, you can always cross the bridge and visit AoA if you do miss it. Good choice!
Welcome back Terri! I've missed you!
Crap - you reminded me... I forgot to buy shoes... OK it is ON MY LIST for this week!!! I promise! I hope I didn't wait too long and miss out completely?
I adore the shirts... They turned out FANTASTIC!!! The towels... OMG - precious - absolutely precious!!!! The girls will have SO much fun with those - no matter where they go!
And POP!!! Now that is something I didn't expect - but you know what... I think it's a great choice! I think you are right - and you guys will have so much fun! 11 nights of BLISS!!!! I am still sad that we can't do our long trip this year, we've gotten so accustomed to 9 & 10 night trips, it's very difficult to squish it into 7.I have heard so many fantastic things about POP, I really think the girls and I need to consider it for a trip - I think they would love to have 11 or 12 nights... but I am with you totally - I would find it absolutely necessary to have a preferred room location, I don't think I could stay there with out that.
So, I am very excited for you... and very excited to see how this changes some of your plans... . Oh and congrats on being paid in full... If I were you - I'd take that refund $$, bring it with and use it to book a bounceback for next year.
D~
Yay!You are back! I have been missing your posts!
Thanks!!! You know where to find me if you ever want more!!! I still think you for sure need some Cards ones!!Love the snow white shoes, they turned out so perfect! The Frozen ones are so cute too, I just love all your shoes!![]()
Pleased does not even begin to describe...Your girls look sooooooo cute in the towels! I am so glad that your are please with them.
I love your new plans, mostly because if I can get that stupid BOG ADR worked out we will get to meet you and your adorable family! As much as I love every resort I have ever tried at Disney, I just can not bring myself to stay at the same one twice. I just love trying new ones! Someday I hope to try them all!
