Interested if anyone has taken this tour? Did you feel it was worth it...we are 2 DL "vets" and would be interested in something giving some little know facts or interesting tidbits, etc. Thanks for any replies.

Yes, I've done this tour and it is very interesting, especially if you enjoy lots of background knowledge and trivia about Walt and the park. This tour is definitely more suited for the Disney veteran than it is for the first-time Disney visitor. If you've done the parks many times and want to learn a little background and history, then take the tour. :)

I completely agree with Michelle! I took the tour last May and it was fascinating. You should definately do it if you have the time.

How long is the tour, and from what time? Do ressies need to be made in advance?

Thanks!

We did this tour in October 1999 and I believe it was 2 to 3 hours long. It is a walking tour (hence the name). I really enjoyed it, and our group was the last ever for this particular guide. He had brought along his camera and someone took a photo of him with the entire group. It was great. I have been to WDW many times, but this was only my second trip to DL. I learned a lot of things about the park that I did not already know. You do not need a reservation (at least you did not then - call the park's guest relations, or check the Birnbaum guide), but you needed to be at Guest Services/RElations on the square to purchase the tickets before the tour started. I think they leave in the morning only, and not through out the day. I would recomend it - and it's not that expensive.:earsgirl:

Brooke, under age three is free to get in the parks so they would be free for the tour, but I don't think toddlers would be very entertained on this tour, so I wouldn't recommend taking young kids.

Not sure about the CM discount; I would have to say there IS one but don't know for sure. If you have access to the CM board you might ask there. :)

It's also worth mentioning that the tour is only $16/pp & if you have a Disney Club memebership, it's only $8/pp!
