Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour???

My husband and I are going to DL at the end of May and I just booked our Segway tour!! WooHoo! DH got to do this tour last summer and had a blast and now that we are doing a trip w/out the kiddos, I get to do it too!!

My question is about the Walk in Walt's tour. Any reviews from somebody who has done it? Where is the lunch at? Thanks for any advice!!

The tour was awsome! I read everything I can about Walt and the parks and there was still info that I didn't know. You get to go on POTC, the DLRR and see the lobby of club 33. Lunch was sandwiches at Plaza Pavillion. It is a pretty long tour but it was worth it.

We did the tour a couple years ago and it was a lot of fun. We had a great guide and a pretty good tour group.

We did this tour 2 years ago for my 40th birthday. We ate lunch at tables outside the French Market Restaurant - but they were box lunches, not from the restaurant itself. Before the tour began we were offered a couple of choices to pick from. For dessert the CM's were very nice and brought mine out with a BD candle.

We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it. Back then we spent time in the area that included the Disney Gallery - ie, Walt's apartment. I imagine now that it has been changed into the apartment that is no longer done, but if it is it would be very cool to see!

Our guide was telling us that they had just been informed of a new special program that was going to be happening and would be announced soon. We asked if it was the Year of A Million dreams. He was surprised that we had any idea. Ah, the internet!

I am happy to read this as I have been on the fence about the tour. I am a Disney history nut-so, so it is nice to see you learned stuff as well.

Maybe I will go walk in Walt's footsteps after all!
