walk from YC to Epcot monorail

It's about a mile, so about 20 to 30 minutes. You will need valid park admission.

What is the time difference with walking to the monorail and taking the bus when going to MK? I have memories of riding the bus through all of the Boardwalk hotels. I know it probably didn't take forever but it sure felt like it!

A bus making all 5 stops usually takes about 12 minutes from Swan to BW. But it can be up to 10 minutes longer depending on various delaying factors.

However, few buses traveling to MK make all 5 stops. Normally, it's either YC & BC, or BW, Sw, & Do.

Thanks! I might have been remembering our bus route to somewhere other than the MK. We were staying at the Swan and we went to every other resort.

Thanks for the help setting me straight.

Maybe Downtown Disney? It's always a nightmare for us to get there, really no matter where we stay, but the Epcot resorts are the worst. Lots of resort stops, plus a water park stop, plus we're usually standing it seems!

Approximately how long does it take to walk from YC to Epcot monorail?

I agree with about 20-30 minutes. If you have young kids and a stroller, it's worth the walk so you can just roll your stroller right on the monorail (unless you're in a hurry to get to MK, then I'd take a bus). Our kids are older now, but we still enjoy the walk through Epcot. Actually, now we take the bus to MK and then take the monorail back to Epcot and walk through.

just remember you will need hoppers to use monorail from resort and going thru EPCOT and going to MK. that means 2 parks even if just walking thru one

The walk is about 20 minutes to get to the Monorail station. Keep in mind you need to get into Epcot, so there is a brief bag check and then entry scan at International Gateway. The other thing is the monorail goes to TTC, and you will then need to disembark and get on the MK monorail or ferry boat. The bus will be much quicker, without question.

Having said all of that, we walk through Epcot to get to MK often because it's fun.

Have a great trip!!

I might do it on my way back to the hotel at the end of the day. I wouldn't do it on my way out of the hotel in the morning. You will be doing a lot of walking during a day at Disney. You will get tired. Your feet will get tired. I wouldn't burn the energy before even getting into the theme park I had planned to visit that day.

Factor in that you will have to go through park entry hassle to get into epcot: bag check, band swip, slow wait for mickey to turn green. That will add time too.
