I'm thinking of popping over to CR for a late lunch or early dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse and then back to MK for Wishes.

How long is the walk between CR and MK?

It's about a 5-10 min walk depending on how fast you walk. It is a very quick pleasant trip.

The sidewalk along MK is very nice and wide. It's an easy walk and there is a crossing light to get across the road. The only bad part is having to cut across the CR parking lot - the sidewalk doesn't go all the way to the CR lobby.

We normally walk about 10 miles a day at WDW. Adding that additional walk from MK to CR is a bit much. Also continue to read of those walking enthusiasts who hike from BW to MGM. Lots of walking going on here. Add a little heat, a little rain . . . . if you have kids in-tow you could be talking rebellion here.

I disagree with the previous poster. One of the things I LOVE about staying at the CR is that walk. That walk is NOTHING compared to the walking from BWV or BC to MGM.

It's about 5 minutes and goes by very fast.

Waiting for the monorail takes longer than walking to CR from MK.

It's an easy 5-10 minute walk. That was the best part of staying at the CR. We always walked to/from MK when we were there.

If you are too tired to walk there, the CR is the first stop from the MK on the resort monorail.

Those walks to the parks are the reason so many people stay at those resorts. We love the walk to MK from the CR. If it's raining, take the monorail but it will take at least twice as long. Same for the walk between BW and MGM. Yes, you can take the boat but the walk is only about 15 minutes, 20 tops if you walk slowly.
I just love walking the walkway when the monorail swooshes overhead. And at night it's just so incredibly peaceful.

Goofy4tink: Didn't see CR on your listing of places you've stayed. Maybe you just skipped over the listing. Anyway, we're by that way a lot for entire month of January & see very few walkers from MK to CR. If you're with youngsters, Monorail a whole bunch easier than that walk. If you haven't been following traffic news, here's an update: Orlando & Las Vegas are in a contest to see who can knock off the most pedestrians!

Goofy4Tink stayed at the CR in August 2004, according to her listings. We stayed at the CR last month and walked to and from MK everyday. It was a quick and lovely walk. There is a brick path that is removed from the traffic by some nice landscaping. The only time you are close to traffic is when you cross at the light, which has a crosswalk. You can stay on the sidewalk that leads to the Contemporary if you don't want to cut through the parking lot.

I would say 10-15 minutes between MK to CR, but then again I have 2 little ones. :-) Either way, it's a very pleasant walk and it won't take long. You could always jump on the monorail if you felt like it since it would be fairly quick too being the first stop and all. We love the Concourse Steakhouse, but that's for a different board. :-)

Have fun!

This past Oct there were a few times I would take a boat from WL to Contemp, walk to MK, boat to GF, walk to Poly, monorail to Contemp, boat back to WL
Will most likely do it again at least once this Aug

That's what I figured. We are staying at the Poly but I think going to Concourse Steakhouse for dinner will be quicker than taking the mono back to the Poly or GF for dinner.

By the way - I love the sign in your sig - I laugh every time I see it at WDW - especially on the TTA...
