Can any tell me about this walk? Which resort to you arrive at first? Is it a very long walk? We'll be staying at the Dolphin in Oct and were just curious. :wave2:

First you will walk across the footbridge as if you were going to BWV and Epcot. As soon as you cross the bridge you will turn right and go behind the BWV's. There is a sign, although we missed it the first time. It is probably a 10 min leisurely walk and really pretty in the evening. It goes right along the canal the transportation boats use. Hope this helps!

Hi,
Its about a twenty min. walk to the YC....You take this nice path..It starts by the boat lunch..and you walk on the BW side of the water...So you would hit the Swan first which is I think right across from the BW and then the Dolphin..
Its really a nice walk!
Hope this helped....

You also have the option of taking the Friendship boat to and from the Studios. The walk is faster but the boat is a nice ride. Since you will be coming from the Swan/Dolphin your stop will be the first one on the way back from the Studios and the last pick up on the way to the Studios. You can also walk or boat to Epcot from that area. It is a great area, especially if you spend a lot of time at Epcot and the Studios.
Check out all the dining options on allearsnet.com...dining/menus and look up Swan & Dolphin, Beach club, Yacht club, and Boardwalk.

My kids complained about the length of the walk from YC, but coming from the Dolphin, that would cut the time.

Read the directions above and take them with you to find the path. We asked a CM at the YC and another CM at the Dolphin, and they both told us different wrong locations for the path! It's not hard to find (it's marked)...if you know where to look. Basically, walk along the canal on the Boardwalk Hotel side.

Very easy to do. Head out ove the bridge towards the lake and BW. As soon as you get across the bridge turn right. You will be following the canal all the way. You will go under the road, nice and cool there if it's hot out!!! Then up to the parking lot area of MGM and across to the turnstiles...all with the canal to your immediate right. It should take no more than 15 minutes.

it's not a bad walk - especially if you are leaving after Fantasmic. you DON'T want to wait for a boat or a bus when the parks are crowded - you'll get back to your resort FASTER if you walk in most cases. My brother and I did it last summer - and didn't mind the walk - hell, you've walked all day - might as well top it off :rotfl: . We stayed at the Swan last summer though, so it's a little closer.

We stayed at the Dolphin and preferred walking to MGM, but we always walked across the Boardwalk to Epcot. I do agree that the one time it's wise to walk from MGM is right after Fantasmic if there's a wait for a boat.
