We are very excited to be staying at GFV for the first time! We have never tried Tonga toast, so hope to head over to Captain Cooks for breakfast one morning. How long is the walk? We will have a stroller, so we aren't very fast.

We are also thinking of doing this on our Epcot day. How long is the walk from Captain Cooks to the TTC? Would it ever make sense to walk right to TTC in the morning from GFV instead of switching monorails? Thanks!

It's about 10 minutes to the TTC, 15 if you walk slow from Captain Cook's, I'd guess. You'd need to add the time from GF to Captain Cook's, so I'd say it's a pretty decent walk and you have to like walking.

Of course, the Tonga Toast needs to be burned off...

10-15 minutes sounds right. We walk pretty fast but usually end up stopping to look at something at the Poly. The walk is nice and I agree with Aurora, that tonga toast does need to be burned off!

Walking is definitely the way to go. It's just a short walk from the GFV to the Poly Ceremonial House nf not all that long from there to the TTC.

It will take much longer to take the monorail from the Poly to the TTC and then switch monorails. If you walk, you can go right to the EPCOT monorail.

No more than 5 minutes from the GCH to the TTC even with a stroller. The easiest way is walking by the Oasis pool and by Pago Pago to the path to the TTC. Another way adds on minutes IMO.

I don't believe there's a good walkway from VGF to the Poly. We usually walk along the beach, but that will be difficult with a stroller. Otherwise, I think you have to walk in the street, or at least some backstage parking/loading areas.

 There's a paved or concrete walkway. You mean you walk ON the beach? Or did you mean along the walkway that runs next to the beach and water?

One of our home resorts is VGF and we usually stay there. We walk to Poly almost everyday and we have three kids under 5 and usually use two strollers. The walk is very very easy, and only about 5-10 minutes depending on how fast you walk. The convenience to POLY is one of the things that makes the VGF building so unique and in my opinion, one of the best resorts.

The hardest part is figuring how to get from front of gfv to the walkway. We and everyone else based on the dead grass walked through the grass. Did they make that a path yet?
