Does anyone know, on average, how long does it takes to walk once you get into Epcot to the Boardwalk resort going out by France? And is that the quickest route once you get to Epcot?

Just trying to get a rough estimate on time.

Five minutes, give or take, depending on how fast you walk.

Oh wait...do you mean from the front entrance of Epcot by Spaceship Earth? In that case, 20 minutes, give or take a few.

Coming from Spaceship Earth so this helps. We are going eat a breakfast that morning coming from another resort and i am trying to estimate about how much time i need. We have been to Disney the past couple years to i know about how long to get into the park just haven't walked to Boardwalk yet.

Thanks.

Honestly, I'd just take an uber from your resort direct to the Boardwalk. Saves you time and your feet. :)

That's a thought although I might have to do the Minnie Van. I have 2 5 years old and i would guess they uber driver may not have 2 car seats.

to walk from the front of Epcot to the BW would probably be 20-25 minutes depending on the pace. There are few pathways close to the Imagination Pavilion that could cut off some time, but I would also suggest doing the Minnie Van or Uber to the BW.

If you don't want the added expense of a Minnie Van or Uber/Lyft, another option is to take a bus to DHS and then either walk or take the boat to BW. The boat will be quicker IF there is a boat just approaching DHS. If a boat just left or is at the dock, it will be faster to walk it. The walk from DHS to BW is about 15 minutes or so.

This is probably the best a shortest walk. You would be at the DHS bus lot and closer to the BW, so you could just walk down the pathway. If you bus to Epcot, then you may have a long walk just to get to the entrance, then you would have to go through bag check. This route you would not have to do bag check, so it would probably save you about 15-20 minutes total in trip time.

I didn't realize this. A walk from HS is shorter than Epcot? We are going to Epcot for the day but do not have a Park hopper to be able to enter the HS park.

You don't need to use a park ticket to take a boat from DHS to EC.

Also, what time is your breakfast that morning? Is there EMH that morning? They will not let you into EC before RD unless you have an ADR or tour PPO, even if it is just to walk through and leave through the IGW. So unless your breakfast is at 9:45 or later, walking through EC may not be an option.

Take the bus to EPCOT and the BUS to Boardwalk if you don't mind the time and want it free as this will be faster than walking through EPCOT considering you will need to walk from the bus and go through security... If you want to save time what others have said -- this will also work with AK or MK it all depends on which resort you are staying at as it may not save you any time going to EPCOT if you are staying near an AK resort and that bus comes first. I would say with 2 5 year olds you will have your work cut out with that walk and then back again no difference between strollers or them walking that far for breakfast.... its a long walk did it with young children and older adults and even for us it was a lot being you are in a rush to get somewhere.

I have stayed at the Boardwalk many times and have never seen a bus to Epcot. The intent is for guests to walk to Epcot through the International Gateway. I don't believe this is a viable option. I would still suggest taking the bus to DHS and either walking to BW or taking the boat.

Breakfast is at 10:15 and we are coming from AK. Epcot opens at 8:00 that day.

There is no bus from Epcot to the Boardwalk.

Bus to DHS then walk to BW - w/ where the new bus drop offs at DHS are, the walk to BW will be shorter than the walk through Epcot and out the IG over to BW.
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/hollywood-studios/maps/ the path starts right by the Disney Skyliner on this map - pull the map south slightly and you’ll see the whole route.
No need to go near the DHS entry turnstiles, just turn right from the bus drop area - I’d guess 15 minutes max from the current bus drop spot to Boardwalk. If you have extra time and would rather take the boat you can do that too w/ out going through DHS security/entry - but that takes longer because you may have to wait for a boat and then once on the boat will stop at Swan/Dolphin before the BW stop.

There is not a bus to Boardwalk from the front of Epcot. They may run them when the boats are down, but that is rare.
