Just read in someone's TR that they walked from EP to HS? Didn't realize you could do that.

How long does it take?
How far of a walk?

Is it faster to walk or take bus?

It's about a 20 to 30 minute walk. There is also a boat that would take about the same amount of time.

To walk from Epcot to HS, you need to leave from the back International Gateway entrance of the park, not the front main entrance. The boat is a nice ride, although it does take a bit of time because it stops at the resorts along the way. But it is very relaxing.

I totallly agree take the boat from the International gateway. It will be just as fast as the bus unless you are getting off spaceship earth and near the front of Epcot.

It's my favorite walk. I just enjoy the ambiance of the area. I love walking by the Beach Club and the Yacht Club and along the waterway to DHS. Coming back I swing over to the Boardwalk and get something from the Bakery.

I love the walk, and I am not a fast walker but I always beat the boat to the Studios from Epcot.
If you are going to walk go along the boardwalk and have the water on your right side. If you are coming from Yacht and Beach walk in front of them to the bridge and go over to Boardwalk resort, do not walk toward Swan and Dolphin.
It might not be as fun in the hot summer if you hate the heat, personally I love the heat and look forward to the little bit of quiet time the walk gives.

My friend and I were going to take the boat from the Intl Gateway to DHS last Dec. As we approached the boat, they were just closing the doors and starting to take off the lines. They told us another boat would be along in about 15 mins. Nope, we told them...we'll walk and beat you to DHS. Not going to happen they laughingly responded. Well, we reached the BW dock area about 30 seconds after the boat did. We cut through the BW area, past the Village Green and the pool area, and out to the sidewalk out back that runs along the canal to DHS. We have a pretty normal walking pace. The boat was nowhere to be seen as we walked along. We got to DHS, started crossing the area beside the parking lot, and started moving towards the bag check area, with the canal to our right. We could see the boat coming, just around the bend. It was about 4 mins from docking. By the time the boat would get there, we would be inside the park, heading towards ToT!! It takes the boat 25 mins to make the Epcot to DHS loop. It took us about 20 mins to walk it.
I have actually made it in 18 mins, with a stop for a sweatshirt in my BW villa...but I was cranking.
