we are planning on watching the 12:40pm aladdin show. from my understanding, talk with crush is on on-the-hour and every half hour. the aladdin show is 40 mins...so we should expect it do be down around 1:20pm. after exiting the show, do you think we'll have enough time to do talk with crush at 1:30pm? or should we just walk around and wait for the 2pm talk with crush session? any advice?

Time wise you should be able to make it since they aren't that far from each other. However if you get stuck in a mash of people exiting the theatre it may take you a little longer .

For that reason I would not make plans depending on seeing one right after the other. But if you miss it, there is plenty to see in the Animation Building while you wait.

Actually, no, I don't think you will make it. I could be wrong, but I thought the runtime for Aladdin is 45 minutes. Also, it doesn't start precisely at 12:40 when the schedule says 12:40. I believe the show actually begins 5 minutes later. The doors close at 12:40, then there's 5 minutes of settling time when some general announcements are made and people finish finding their seats. So that actually puts you right at 1:30 when the show ends and Turtle Talk will be beginning. It will take you a few minutes to get out of the theater unless you just happen to be sitting right next to one of the exit doors. Then you will be walking with the entire mass of people who have just left the theater, so that is not immediately fast-going. I would recommend that you plan for the 2 PM Turtle Talk. That gives your group time to get out of the theater without trampling or being trampled, a bathroom break, and a few minutes to take in some other parts of the Animation Studio, the movie clips or Zoetrope for instance. You might even stop for a character Meet & Greet along the way if the characters are out along Hollywood Boulevard.

I agree with longtimedisneylurker. 45 mins. show time, doors close at 12:40, show starts about 5 min. later.

It will only take you a few minutes to walk from the Hyperion Theater to the Animation Building, 5 minutes if you walk really slow.

Definitely shoot for the 2 p.m. Turtle Talk but don't overlook the Animation Academy where you get to draw a character (and keep it, unlike at WDW). The class only takes 15-20 min. Runs on the same schedule as Turtle Talk so you could do TT at 2 and Animation Academy at 2:30 (or vice versa-ask the CM at AA what characters they are doing next, then base your decision on who you want to draw). While you are waiting for 2 p.m. check out the Sorcerer's Workshop.

In the Sorcerer's Workshop there are a number of interactive activities available. You can create your own animation, or in Ursula's Grotto you can add your voice to an animated scene. In the Beast's Library sit down with one of the enchanted books and Lumiere will ask you a series of questions and tell you what Disney character is most like you.

I love to do Ursula's Grotto and the AA.

The Animation is a great place to escape from the heat, the cold, or the crowds.;)

Just a side note, last time we saw the show we were talking to the usher and he said the show is scheduled for 40 mins, but the actual length depends on the Genie. He said if the Genie gets on a roll adlibing jokes, that it can last 45 - 55 mins.

In my experience, from the time you enter the Aladdin theater to the time you get out is about an hour.

Yeah it's slow going once the show ends, may take a long time to exit depending on where you are seated, and it gets pretty crowded outside. But if you do miss the Crush show it's really not a big deal as there's plenty of showings and plenty to do. That general area is pretty small, both Tower of Terror and Monsters Inc. are there, as well as stuff in the Animation building and the gallery store.

If you've never seen the Aladdin show before, you really should try to show up at least 45 minutes before show time, in my opinion it is worth the wait and it's best to get a seat in the ground level, you want to show up earlier so you can line up in the Orchestra section, and before they rope it off.
