My fiancé and I are considering getting married at Paddlefish. All the Ubers seem to drop us off a 5-10 minute walking distance from the rideshare location. We’re considering staying at SSR in Congress Park - is there anyone who has made this walk and can tell me how far it is? Online I’ve found 6 minutes to the Marketplace, but I’m just wondering how much more to Paddlefish from there. Thanks!

It’s a decent hike, especially since the entrance to DS you would normally take is closed so you need to walk around DS a bit. I think it took our family 20 minutes. Fast walkers would take less time.

I assume you’ve been to Paddlefish before and it’s special to you. Good luck!

Oh, wow. I didn’t even think of the closed entrance! Thank you for that reminder. Paddlefish does have some sentimentality (and is also a much cheaper Disney venue than most, ha!). Thanks for the response! Back to the drawing board 😂

The entrance from CP to DS is open. Paddlefish is right next to the market place. I would estimate depending on which of the 4 buildings a 5-10 minute walk to Paddlefish. The entrance to the West side is closed, but you just have to walk into the Orange garage and enter via the 2nd floor.

Agree. I was just there two weeks ago and stayed in CP. We were in the closest building to DS, and Paddlefish was easily under a 10-minute walk at a steady clip. If you meander, more like 10-12 minutes.

Not sure of the reference to closed entrance. The bridge right by Congress Park that you take to get over to Disney Springs Is open. From Congress Park to Paddlefish is in the 8 to 10 minute range depending on location in Congress Park.

An issue you have is that Congress Park, a "Preferred" area, is a non-guaranteed request, and you could end up in Springs which can add another 5 to 7 minutes to the walk

When we were there a month ago the entrance to DS right after you cross the bridge was still closed. You had to keep walking straight until you got to BBB. I’m not sure why as they had eliminated the security scanners on that side (but not on the other side). Would be good if that’s been reopened.

I think the dominant question in the length of this particular walk is the possible complexity of a wedding dress :-)

Yes, you are correct--you do have to walk a little farther on the perimeter to get into DS vice cutting through where the splash pad is located. Good point! :thumbsup2 Still, I was able to navigate the distance from 1100 bldg in CP to Wine Bar George in less than 10 minutes.

We’re packing a “transport dress” to walk in so I don’t get it sweaty 😂😂😂
