Walgreens friends and family/Disney gc

hello all!

In my email I received a 20 percent off your total purchase friends and family coupon useable tomorrow. I read over the policy and no where did I see it was invalid on gift cards. I'm looking to purchase Disney gift cards so 20 percent off would be a chunk of money off my ticket. Has anyone has luck using these coupons of gift cards?

Promotions exclude a lot of items and gift cards is one of them. The email states 20% off regularly priced eligible items. Gift cards are not one of them, along with dairy, tobacco, alcohol, prescriptions...etc.

Hmmm... This got me to thinking. I have about 30.00 in Walgreens reward money. Can I use that for a gift card?

I was able to...sort -of. I bought a bunch of stuff and added a Maggiano's GC. The total was about $60 ($30 for items and $30 for GC). I paid with points and my balance due was $25, so I was able to use about $5 toward my GC. Not sure how that happened since I was expecting my points to only cover the items and not GC, but it did.
