I'm just curious, which more people prefer. I, for one, think though Wal-Mart has a bigger selection, Target is by far the nicer store. Every Target I go into is always clean, well maintained and organized. Every Wal-Mart I go into, it just seems as though there's stuff all over the place. More like a flea market than a retail store.

What do you think?

Target...It's nicer, cleaner, and they have cooler stuff.

Target all the way, baby!
I don't set foot in WalMart unless I absolutely have to (like when we're at Nags Head, which has no Target or when WalMart was the only place in town that carried the KinderMat I needed for DS).

I'm in Target at least once a week

Target!!!!
They're CLEAN, the employees are friendly, the aisles are wide, stuff is never just thrown everywhere and their prices are really the same as Wal Mart's. If you shop the sales they beat Wal Mart. Basically Target is the exact opposite of Wal Mart, and that's a VERY good thing

Wow. I'm surprised it's not a bit closer, considering Wal-Mart is the number 1 retail store in the world. Everything most people are saying is pretty similar which makes you wonder why Wal-Mart doesn't try and spruce up a bit. The again, maybe they don't feel the need to, being the biggest.

Tar-Jay All the Way. I used to be a Wal-Mart junky until Target opened up here and I saw the light!

Wal-Mart is dingy and dirty... I'll go there once in awhile, but everything is SO crammed, the lighting stinks. Target is nice and clean and bright.

Target, no contest. Walmart is filthy, carries shoddier merchandise and has reprehensible business practices. Walmart could be giving the stuff away and I wouldn't shop there.

Love Target!

We love their brand of food items they carry. I forgot the name right now. But they have some very yummy Black Bean Jalepeno tortilla Chips and dark chocolate rasberry covered almonds. Mmmmmm!

Well, I do shop at walmart and their prices can't be beat... but really, Target just gives me the warm fuzzies :goodvibes

Target has much cooler stuff, is cleaner and has a better layout. I shop each store for different things- I like the money I save at Walmart, but I enjoy shopping in Target so much more.

Omgoodness-TARGET only! I hate, hate, hate, hate Wal-Mart. I find that the Super Wal-Mart near us is always filthy and there are NEVER any associates around to assist you. You almost always have to do the self-check out as they never have more than 2 or 3 actual cashiers working and the lines are always insane. It's just gross and icky... I prefer to not go in unless I absolutely have to if Target doesn't have what I need....

Our Target on the other hand (and the other few I've gone into as well) never appear to be overly crowded-they always have floor associates as well as sufficient cashiers to keep the lines going (and I'm thrilled they've not instituted the self-check-out registers!!!) Everything is always well stocked, neat, and clean :thumbsup2

I prefer Wal Mart. We have a really nice one. :thumbsup2

The prices are way better in Wal mart, target pricess are way to high sometimes for the exact same item, so regarless of how clean or neat the store is, I just go there to shop and that's it, I rather shop in wal mart and save some money, I care less if the store is not as neat, as long my house is neat and with only DH working right now we need to save every penny we can. And I also enjoy shopping in wal mart :)

I only go to Wal-Mart if I absolutely have to and that's about twice a year. I have to drive past Wal-Mart to get to Target. I did go to Wal-Mart yesterday to pick up toner for my printer (was in the middle of printing something and just needed the one item). Every single box of toner was crushed and open. I pulled out 10 boxes to find the one that was the least damaged and bought it. Luckily, it worked fine but I was hesitant and if I hadn't been in a hurry, I would've gotten into the car and gone to Target (or even Staples).

I also learned my lesson with electronics. I bought a TV at Wal-Mart in March, it quit working two weeks later. Took it back, bought another one and it never worked at all! When I complained to the manager, he said "well, what do you expect, the way those stockers throw those TV around?" I guess I expected to buy merchandise that worked! Went directly to Target, bought a TV and been happy ever since.

I just don't understand why every Wal-Mart I go into is disgustingly dirty. JMO.
