I searched for threads on this but came up with nothing new. Does anyone know if you can still wake her up if you arrive very early to Tinkerbell's Treasures? I haven't heard anything about this recently so I didn't know if it was still happening.

My son woke her up when we went in June.

Okay, will someone explain this to me? I looked all over Tink's Treasures to find something unusual and couldn't. What's the story with waking up Tink? :)

My son did it two weeks ago, so it is up an running.

blondeheroine, If you are the first to visit the Tink shop in the Castle and you go to the counter and ask to wake up Tink, the CM will give your child a magic wand and they tap Tink's house and the bells ring and a little light flashes in different parts of the store as Tink is flying around. They then fill out a certificate for you child declaring that they woke up Tink. It's all very cute, but get there early as others will be enroute with you. Hope it helped.

Here is a description that I got off the Intercot message board:

If you are among the first to enter Tinkerbell’s Treasures shop (to your left as you pass through Cinderella Castle), your kid(s) may be in for a special treat. Ask the Cast Member if you can wake-up Tinkerbell. The kid(s) are given a sword (for boys) or a wand (for girls) and are instructed to tap on a small chest three times and say “wake-up Tinkerbell”. Sure enough Tinkerbell wakes-up and flies around the room in a dazzling display of lights and sounds. The helpers are usually given a certificate that proclaims that they helped wake-up Tinkerbell. If you miss this morning ceremony, Tink typically flies around the shop intermittently through out the day.

I wonder how fast you have to run from the gates to be the first one at Tink's Treasures. I don't think there is anyway we could run fast enough.

We are in CP for b fast on the first morning, could we rush that and get to the shop in time ( our ADR is 8.05 )
OR should we do a sneaky another day and book an ADR for say 8.30, and go to the shop FIRST, say for 9am, then go to CP late... I Know dont shoot me down in flames............. just a thought.

for those who have been sucessful, how did youo manage it please???

I want to tell my DD4, but I dont want a major upset if we cant do it ( and I know we cant do and see it all !)

Any advice, greatly appreciated!

We were there last week and my DD got to wake TInk. We had 8:05 reservations for CP. We finished about 8:45 and went to the castle to wait for the rope drop. TInk's shop is right in front of the rope. We walked right in!

princess stich thanks thats what im going to do, eat at 8.05 and go straight to the castle. if it works, great, if not she wont be any the wiser.

Thanks very much !!!!

:tinker: My family had an early PS for Cinderella's Table for breakfast. When we were finished, we moved to the rope and got a good position. Once the official "rope drop" was over, we just casually headed over to Tink's Treasures and requested to wake Tink up. There were no other families in there but, a few did come in as my daughter was waving the wand.
It is a unique experience and a lot of fun for the little ones.

It is fun if it is working. Unfortunately, We got there first two weeks ago, but the Cast member told us it was not working. A real bummer for my kids!

I have 2 nieces, will they each get a wand and get to both wake up tink?

If you don't get to wake her up, you can always go to Tink's dresser and knock. It will provoke nearly the same response, you just don't get the wand. Usually, if a CM sees a young cutie knocking on the dresser and calling for Tink, they push the magic button that sets Tink off and flying through the shop. It happened to us last year.

My daughter, peeked in the keyhole at the dresser and excitedly asked, Tink are you home? The CM must have seen her and pressed the button. The lights went off behind the check out counter and zoomed over the shop and a light goes off inside the dresser that you can see through the keyhole. It's very very cute and my daughter was unbelievably charmed and excited by the whole thing! I gave the CM a big smile and a wink. She really made my daughter's day!

Two weeks ago we were lucky enough to wake up Tinkerbell! Both of my kids (5&4) stood on a stool and tapped Tinkerbell's home and woke her up. We received a special certificate, too.
We just totally lucked out on this. We were there for Magical beginnings and waited in the castle before Alice and the Mad Hatter let us into Fantasyland. I headed straight for Tinkerbell's Treasures with the kids. It was kind of funny because right in front of us was a mom with two tween daughters. She kept saying she wanted them to wake up Tink, but they were having none of it! Lucky for us! Several families came in just after us.
I wouldn't tell the kids - it is tough to be the first one and it is a neat surprise for them if they aren't expecting it. Remember - only 365 people a year get to wake her up!
Good luck!

flyerud, what time did the gates open at MK for the Magical Beginnings?

I believe the front gates opened around 7:45 and then they held us at the castle until the bells rang for 8am. Then Alice and the Mad Hatter let us in to start the fun. Magical Beginnings was so worth getting up early for! The character interaction is so great and there is no pressure for autographs, photos, etc. It is truly interaction between the characters and kids. We went twice and loved it! Waking Tink was just a great bonus!

Thanks for the info. We are going to try to get up and get there on 9/24.

We've been lucky enough to get to wake Tink up twice. The first time was planned, DH and DD rushed -- walking purposefully, not running -- to Fantasyland for rope drop. (Funny thing, DH had been told about this by someone in line for drinks at Fantasmic the night before. He was all jazzed to do it, and DD was thrilled. DH was disappointed, though, because he thought they were going to wake up a face-character Tink! I had to explain to him that Tink doesn't meet and greet, but I think he's still bitter.)

Anyway, the second time DD and I happened to stroll into Tinkerbell's Treasures about 1.5 hours after MK opened, and asked, not expecting anything at all, but sure enough, no one else had asked that day. Now, this was really off-season, but it just goes to show it never hurts to ask.

That's awesome! I had no idea either! I'll definitely tell my mom about this. My little sister (7) would get a kick out of this!

Just had to share ~ I did tell DD (just 2 days shy of 4 Bday) maybe that we could wake up Tink, if we could get there really fast & so we were going to have to run (including pushing stroller w/DD 2 & Mommy would push people out of the way, showing her BIG swooping motions w/my arms! Well, needless to say we didn't make it, but lots of fun trying & very nice CM showed us Tink's dresser & allowed her to take flight. All was very special, until we were leaving the store & DD asked "Ahh Mommy I thought you were going to push the people?" :rotfl2: :rotfl:
