My family (DH, DD8, DD5) and I are taking our first trip to WDW 2/8-2/14 :goodvibes . Our first full day there will be in MK and it is an EMH morning. My DDs heard me talking to my DH about waking Tink and they are obsessed with doing it! We are planning on following TGM's plan that morning and I feel like we should have time but tell me what you think...and is the store even open early that morning? :confused3

P.S. I have read all the posts and I promise not drag my kids and/or trample anyone to get there and do it! :rotfl2: TIA!

Yes, the store is open on EMH but I thought that there was a lot more to it. My daughter was thrilled but my son was dissapointed. They let the kids "use" a wand and sword to tap on her box and then a light streaks along the walls. My son thought that he would actually get to see Tinkerbell and keep the sword. They did get a certificate.

I think even that would be exciting for my girls, especially my DD5, she really loves to "believe"! :flower: Refresh my memory please, straight through the castle and the store is on your left? :confused3 TIA :earsgirl:

Yes. Straight through the castle and Tinkerbell Treasures is on your left. Our 4 and 8 year old boys got to help wake Tinkerbell up in August and loved it. A family had already arrived before us (they had an earlier breakfast ADR) but the CM's let our kids wake her up and gave them certificates too. There was also another family a few minutes after us that they let wake up Tink too. I told our boys that Tink is just like them in the morning.... she falls back asleep a few times after being tapped before she finally wakes up!

What do you think the chances are, in early Feb, that my DD's might get a chance to do this if we are there at rope drop?
Paula

The day that our children got to wake her up, we were near the front of the rope drop (maybe 10 or 15 families back) near the left side entrance and just walked at a quick pace once they opened. We had arrrived about 30 minutes before opening. It was not an EMH day, but there was quite a crowd. More so than when we went last February. It was very, very hot and we were dripping with sweat within the first five minutes of waiting. When they officially opened, some people were sprinting (I don't know where they were going) but figured if they were heading to Tinkerbell's Treasures they sure wanted it more than we did. We figured that if we got to wake her up, great, if not we'd just watch whoever got to do it. When we got there the family in front of us were not sweaty at all and had obviously been there a few minutes because they were getting their certificates by then. I asked if the boys could see where Tink wakes up and that is when the CM said they could also wake her up. The first family was already out the door by then and the CM said they had been to an early breakfast at the Castle.
