We have a few days at Aulani booked. We plan to stay in Wakiki the rest of the time. Has anyone rented an Air BnB here? I know about needing to look for the permits in order for it to be a legal rental. The great positive is they have free parking.

Hoping it’s ok to post here since a lot of you guys have visited the area!

The Banyan is an older building. The units vary wildly, but expect some weird wiring, bad elevators and a very dated pool area.

The association does not do a good job with common area upkeep.

Also, the parking garage is very low. Do not get a full size SUV or van if you park there. You have to be very careful what you accept from the car rental if you intend to park. Do not take the Yukon!

If you are after cheap it will work. If you want a resort experience you will be disappointed.

Thanks. I would assume we would spend our days at the beach vs the pool. We are looking at units with positive reviews.

The beach is about 3 blocks and fairly crowded. It is nearest to Kuhio, which has a protective sea wall.
