I am on the waitlist for Vero over the summer for a beach villa...

Does it pay to keep checking in with Member Services to see if something has come available or just wait for them to call me? What have you guys experienced with waitlisting??

Thanks!

we were on the wait list for bwv during the christmas holiday period in 2002... and just let MS handle it... it utimately worked out in our favor and although we worried a bit, MS handled the reservations off the wait list "automatically" w/o pesky follow-ups.

Good luck.

I think at 31 days out your waitlist will be removed and you need to be added again if it is already not fulfilled and you cannot waitlist within 7 days of arrival

Good luck!

I am new to the boards but I have been a member of DVC since 2000. In my experience I have always had good luck on the wait list for resorts at WDW on several occasions even during the holiday periods. I just cleared a wailist for a studio at OKW for next week. It sometimes takes a while which may cause some difficulty with other travel plans. I usually have a back up plan, but have yet have to use one yet...knock wood.

I'm glad I actually resereced a two bedroom and one studio to take the place of the three bedroom villa at Vero Beach. We just would all prefer to stay together - but we would rather go seperate than not go at all!

I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Thanks everyone!

Jennifer

We were on the waitlist for about 3 months for Thanksgiving and the day before at OKW. About 4 weeks before our arrival, the waitlist came through!!:)
