waitlisting Thanksgiving

We are trying to get a Thanksgiving reservation for 2bd at OKW. All days are available for our trip except Wednesday and Thursday. I guess we will have to waitlist those days and hope for the best.

Has anyone ever had to do that for the day before and of Thanksgiving? Suggestions on what to do in the meantime? There are no other resorts available the days either and hate to have to move to All Star...

Book OKW 2-bedroom for cash. Waitlist the Wed. and Thurs. nights each as 1-night stays. Alter the cash reservation if/when the wait lists come thru.

You will not be able to merge the cash reservation with the ones on points but you can request to have them linked so that you reduce the possibility of having to move. No guarantees. Repeat your request on check in.

Or as an alternative, book the AllStar resort that you can stand for 2 nights. Amend the reservation if only one wait list comes thru. Cancel completely if they both come thru. Accept the possibility that you may be spending Thanksgiving with a giant popcorn bucket just outside of your door.
