Waitlisted for the day before Thanksgiving at SSR...do you think

we will get it. I just made a ressie for Nov. 15th for 7 nights in a 2BR at SSR. The last night.....is waitlisted. Of course it is the day before Thanksgiving.....


I wonder what my chances are of getting it. I am thinking I might want to book a room at another Disney resort for the last night as backup. If something is available.

A very similar scenario for us last year, and our W/L came through (and relatively early)...

I called to book in mid-June (the day after we bought into DVC)...the Wed-Thurs of T-giving week weren't available anywhere (we wanted an SSR studio)...I W/L'ed us for any resort, for either a one-bedroom or a studio--W/L'ed each of the two nights separately...then I book ASMu for cash...to be sure we had someplace to stay those two nights...

The one-BR at SSR came through first...I took it, but kept us on the W/L for a studio at any resort...a little while later, a studio at OKW came through...took that, but stayed on the W/L for a studio at SSR...in about September, the SSR studio came through...took it and linked the week-long reservation(s)...so we were in an SSR studio the whole week...

(Canceled ASMu when the first W/L came through)...

So I'd say your chances are reasonably good, but if you're like me, you'll want the CRO cash reservation as "back up" just in case...
