Waitlisted for one day

We are new owners - closed Jan 23 on 225 pts SSR!!! We had a trip planned for Oct for MNSSHP but had points to burn from a loaded contract and decided to try for April 20-26 (21st is DH & my 7th anniversary and DD celebrates her 4th b-day on the 25th). I learned (from these boards!!) that that week is very busy but we were able to get the whole week at SSR except the 22nd which we got at OKW, we also waitlisted that day at SSR. My question is what to you think our chances are so close?? We would not mind the move except for the girls (also a 1 year old) and since it would be two moves I"m worried it would be crazy!! Any advice would be great!!

I think they are pretty good.

Be sure to call back and tell MS you want to stay on the waitlist once the 31 day mark arrives. If you don't, MS will cancel your waitlist.

If it doesn't come through by the 7 day mark, you'll have to call at least once a day to see if anything opened up. MS does not keep waitlists 7 days or closer to the date. Some people call several times a day hoping to get lucky.

Even after you check in, it wouldn't hurt to ask the Front Desk CM. Sometimes you get lucky at the very last minute.

There are lots of 2 bedrooms at SSR - I think you will get one for the 22nd.

That's awesome you got anything at all. I was trying for that week as well and was told there was no availability whatsoever. So it goes to show that things do frequently change. Good Luck, I agree 1 move in doable, two is inconvient.

Did they have the last part of your trip available at OKW? At least then it is only one move and you get to see two different resorts...its a pain, but would be a better option than moving for one night. Otherwise I would just wait it out....I know people have said to stay on the waitlist....call every day even in the last seven days, plus keep asking when you get there....some people have suggested that they do occasional move cash rooms to points for fulfilling the waitlists at the end. I called yesterday to see about half of the stay at OKW and she said there was such limited availibility all over do to "all of the NE school breaks". BCV, AKV, BWV had weekend time only and WVL had nothing. OKW had the 22 but not 23 or 24 - it was so crazy - for the first time making reservations I was going to lose my mind I was lucky to have great CMs for my calls so that made it better.

Thanks for all the advice - I will keep checking!!!
