This is the first time I have done waitlisting. We planned to go Nov. 28-Dec 12, but there is NOTHING available. We are waitlisted for OKW studio. Can I waitlist for all resorts? Would I have a better chance if I said studio or 1 bedroom at any resort? Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm not at all surprised there is nothing, because those dates have been virtually sold out for months now. Make your waitlist request for EITHER studio or 1 bedroom for ANY DVC resort, and then cross your fingers, toes, eyes, and anything else you can cross! You might try waitlisting day by day as well rather than the entire time period. It could mean you will have some holes to fill, but you can always try for one of the value resorts on those days. My guess is the weekend nights will come through first. We have had our Dec. 2-12 trip booked for OKW since January. That is possibly the single MOST popular time for DVC ressies, and one that requires a lot of advance planning.

Yes you can waitlist for all of the reorts at the same time. I have done that. And yes your chances would get better if you aked for a studio or one-bedroom. The more choices to match the better! Good Luck!

We last minute decided to add on the 8th and 9th onto our 10-15th ressie. (OKW studio for the 8th and 9th).
It came through the next day!! So I think there are some people re-arranging their travel schedule.

I am right there with you we called in 1 wk short of the 11mth window. I have okw dec 8-16th but can not get anywhere for dec 6th and 7th. I have been on that wait list since the 7mth window. Good Luck I will keep my fingers crossed for you as well.

Thanks, everyone for the good words. I called back after reading your response, Diane, and opted for VWL for 3 days, which had no waitlist, supposedly we are first on it, and asked for both the entire stay at OKW or a week. Heather, the CM, was very pleasant and helpful, so I hope something will come through for us. I'm keeping everything crossed I can!!

Waitlist does work if you can be flexible. We have a 1BR reserved at BCV for Dec. 2nd-8th. We've been on the waitlist since 7 months out for a 1BR at VWL. It still hasn't come through. I'm really going to be surprised if it does come through at this late day. We waitlisted the whole stay not day by day so its much harder for us to get our stay but we didn't want to chance having to move in the middle of our trip.

We have friends who joined DVC in Sept. They waitlisted for a 1BR anywhere (Dec 3rd-7th) a couple of months ago. They did get a 1BR at SSR around a month or so ago.
