Waitlisted at 11 months at VGC

I had to waitlist for Memorial Day Saturday today in a studio. Both Friday and Saturday were all booked up yesterday, so Sat wasn’t available at 11 months. I’m going to try to snag Sunday tomorrow so I just did a one night waitlist. We usually are 1BR people, but this is a quick trip on the way to Yosemite so I don’t want to use that many points. I guess I should have walked it but didn’t think I’d need to and walking on a 2 night reservation is a pain! I know its a tiny resort but it’s the first time I’ve had to waitlist at 11 months. Such a bummer!

That's very rare to have happen there. I bet you'll get it filled though. Maybe some June UY's having to use up some points just prior to expiration.

I would think you will most likely be ok. I had to waitlist several years ago for a Moonlight Magic event at 11 months. It came through after about 8-9 months. 1 night is usually a lot easier to get!

That’s what I’m thinking too. Hopefully I can get Sunday tomorrow and just wait the one night out, but if not, I’ll do two separate one night WL to increase my chances. I’d have to borrow to do a 1BR so I’ll just have to trust the process, lol. Hopefully it doesn’t take 8-9 months though! Luckily, these are Sept UY points so I have until just after the 30 day mark to bank them if it never comes through (April 30).

Got Sunday this morning! Good thing I got up early to do it… it’s gone now. Now to wait on Saturday!
