Waitlist?

I'm interested in hearing your positive or negative experiences with the waitlist in the last 2 weeks before your ressie. Our story is a long one, but in a nutshell, we had 10 days in a 1 br at OKW, DH has been unemployed, we decided we shouldn't make the trip and cancelled right before the 30 day holding period. Things have changed slightly so we changed our mind again and decided to go for only a few days. We were lucky enough to get rooms at this late date, but we have to move, twice! We waitlisted at OKW for a 1 br for the entire stay and our arrival day is less than 2 weeks away. Should I just resign myself to what we've got, or can I reasonably get my hopes up that what we want will come through. How often do people really cancel at the last minute?

some definitely do - just make sure that when the last 7 days comes up - you get on that list or you call yourself every day.

You weren't real specific about what room size you end up with, what resprt and where the changes occur. My advise is stay on the waitlist for day by day but also call MS. Ask them to call which ever resort you have the most nights at and see if there is "any possible way to clear a room for you." This has been successful in the past, but with this being a high occupancy time, I'm not sure you'll be so lucky.

UPDATE.....The waitlist is amazing and works wonders, even on short notice for a high occupancy weekend! I called MS today to double check what we had, and to clarify our waitlist status and MS proceeded to tell me that if something came up they would call, blah, blah, but as she was giving me her spiel she said, you have a match for 2 of your days, didn't they call? No they didn't but I'll be happy to book the match right now! YAY! We booked the match for the first 2-day segment and connected it with the middle, now we're down to needing one more night and then we're set with no moves! We originally had to book 2 nights/Studio BCV, 3 nights 1 br/OKW, 1 night studio/OKW now we have 5 nights 1 br/OKW and 1 night studio/OKW.
