Waitlist?

Hi!
Tomorrow will be the 7 month mark for our upcoming trip in 2014.
Currently i have 2 weeks booked at AKV (one week standard view and one week savannah view).

I wanted to change a week to go to the BWV. My question is, i have 220 points left from my 2013 (UY December)... (i banked my 2012 points and those are the points that are being used in May 2014).

I just looked pretending today is my 7 month mark and the room we wanted is not available for the entire week... If i waitlist, and it becomes available, i will book it and it will take (lets say 100 points) from my 2013 points. Then i will have to cancel one of my weeks at the AKV and it will return my points (lets say 100 as well) back to my bank.

My questions are :
1- do i then have to call guest services for them to take my 100 points from 2012 for the 1 week at the BWV, or is the system smart enough?
2- lets say the system is smart enough and does take the 2012 points, the 100 2013 points taken for a few minutes are they penalized in some sort? Meaning will i be able to bank the entire 220 points in 2014 to use in 2015? or just 120?

If you are waitlisting for a resort and you want it to replace something you currently have, you can set up the waitlist like that.

If BWV fills, then it will cancel the AKV room for the week and rebook using the banked points first, and then fill in with the rest.\

If you set it up so it doesn't cancel the old reservation and you do that after the fact, then you would have to call MS to ask them to reallocate the points correctly.

It can't be automatically done unless you cancel the reservation that is using the points first.
