Waitlist WWYD? Help me sort out this mess!

In the peak of fall frenzy I have 3 nights booked in a BWV garden view studio which I’m happy with. The following 3 nights are however a mess! Currently I have 1 night in beach club 1 bedroom - lots of points for a solo trip but I’ve always wanted to stay at beach club, followed by 1 night at SSR standard studio - my home resort is all I could get on the Saturday night, ending with 1 night in a BWV boardwalk view studio - it was available and in the Epcot area plus the boardwalk view isn’t as easy to get so I thought it would be fun to try. I also have a waitlist for the Saturday night at beach club studio (to replace random night away from Epcot area) which I’m hesitant to cancel for fear of losing my place in the queue. If that came through I would then waitlist the Friday night to try to swap from a 1 bed to studio. I haven’t put in for 2 nights from the start as I heard single nights are easiest to get and at least that way my nights would all be in the boardwalk area.

My dilemma is, I’m willing to free up my waitlist from a different stay to try to fix this mess but I’m not sure how best to do it. Should I:

1. Use the 2nd waitlist on the same Saturday night that is currently at SSR but at BWV so at least I have a better chance of getting all 3 nights in the same area? If so would you waitlist the boardwalk view even though they’re harder to get (fewer of them) to hope avoiding so many room changes or would you waitlist a different category to increase the chances of coming through?

2. Would you put the waitlist on the studio to replace the 1 bed to free up points for a future trip (probably Aulani)? If so would you waitlist studio at the beach club since I’ve always wanted to stay there or risk needing to wait for the beach club at a future trip (probably 3 years away) and waitlist another night to add on to the exisiting 3 night booking at BWV garden pool view?

3. Something else? Maybe waitlist all 3 nights at once somewhere as a gamble to try to only have one room change? Other suggestions?

BCV has the least possibility of coming through.

I'd probably waitlist the two individual nights at SSR, if either comes through it will minimize the number of moves.

And keep stalking!

Sorry should have clarified that waitlisting 3 nights at SSR is not an option. I’ve got into this mess doing the process of trying to piece together a reservation and waitlisting single days so I did have all 3 nights at SSR originally but wanted to stay in the Epcot area. Still hoping to fill in the gaps but realising the Saturday night is going to be hard so reconsidering my strategy.

There is still time... I would use my WL to replace the SSR night with either the same room before or after, first to minimize having to move out of the area. I would ALSO stalk the HECK for ANY 1br or studio in any view at BWV or BCV, on the grounds that it would be easier to move within a resort or between BWV/BCV than have to leave to go to SSR for 1 night.

Once you have that Saturday night in either a 1br BCV or a BWV BW studio, then try to match the nights before or after (in both resort and room category) so you get 2 nights in a row, then 3. I would definitely do this 1 night at a time.

BTW, I would invest (it's like $10 or so) in a 3rd party app that notifies you if a room becomes available at any of these resorts. Passively relying on the WL isn't enough for high volume times; you also need to stalk.

I cant find anything like this running..any tips?

Also curious although I think the time difference is messing with my ability to stalk because the times of day most people in USA will be changing their reservations I’m asleep or driving to work/working so really only doing once per day. Hopefully that’s enough.

I’m a little worried about how few rooms there are in the BW view category and that’s the category I have for the night after!

If it were me. At first, I would leave the SSR night alone, try to get The Boardwalk View studio.

A 3-1-2 stay would be more acceptable to me than what you have. If you do add another waitlist, I would go for a studio in CC or WL, simply because that’s gorgeous. If you really do not want to leave Epcot area, then I would waitlist the two nights BWV, pool view.

Whatever you try for, here’s pixiedust:

Plus, I recently got a very unlikely waitlist fulfilled within 2 weeks for the second week of December. I do not buy the idea that waitlists do not work. Yes, I do check, but never saw my category available at all.
