Waitlist - whole stay or one night?

My 7 month mark is tomorrow - we are currently booked at our home resort AKL for a 1br. We would like to try and switch to BLT or BCV - I am seeing that BLT has availability Sun 11/10 (we arrive 11/9) through Friday - Saturday is unavailable. Would you book Sunday-Saturday (assuming they are available tomorrow morning) and only waitlist Saturday 11/9 and take the chance the waitlist might not come through and you would be stuck at AKL for one night? Or would you waitlist the whole stay?'

I would try and waitlist for the one night honestly. You might have a better chance that one day will come through rather then the whole week.
