So we have a 2 Br Lockoff at BLT for the majority of our trip, but the last part of the trip is Marathon Weekend.... soooooo we snagged 2 nights in a lake view 2 Br at GFV (one of our home resorts so was able to do so before exactly 7 mo) to cover the last two nights (the 8-10) since the monorail will make a switch slightly easier. Would have grabbed a standard view at GFV because of the difference in points but none are available.

My question is as follows: which two waitlists should I choose?

1. Getting a standard for those last two 2 Br at GFV to save points

2. Waitlisting the two dates together at BLT

3. Waitlisting the two dates separately at BLT

4. Some other combination?

Currently I have the whole reservation WLed at BLT since the 7 mo window hasn't opened for the 8th yet, and the GFV standard WL'ed for the last two nights.

It depends on what's most important to you and how many points you have to play with. If you have enough points to hold both, I'd WL the days separately at BLT so I didn't have to move. If you want to try VGF enough to pay the extra, I'd WL those days independently for the standard view. Worst case scenario is you get 1 night and not the other and then cancel. IF you get to the 30 day mark you could always change your WL as needed, maybe both nights together. Then as you near the trip keep checking to see if something better comes available.

If you don't have enough points to hold both I'd WL VGF standard for the 2 nights you have and then the same option you have at BLT for those same 2 nights to avoid moving.

for sure you should do the same resort you are at as one wait list so that you do not have to move. When you are wait listing for a 2 bedroom, my experience is you will most likely get it or have a higher probability. The studios are impossible and 1 bedrooms are difficult as well but you will have more luck with the 2.

Just one note; I don't know what you mean when you say that the monorail will make the switch easier. If you're planning to move your stuff, be aware that luggage isn't permitted on the monorail.
