Waitlist Questions

My husband and I recently changed our minds from going to NYC around thanksgiving to wanting to go to Disney. I was searching for possible openings for us to stay DVC borrowing some points from next year. Everything seems to be full up so we were curious about the waitlist option. We have never done the waitlist before and we are wondering how that works? Is there even a remote chance we may be able to get something? Should we just pay to stay at a resort instead? What would you guys do in this situation?

If you need a room for sure pay cash, check with MS about a cash DVC discount in addition to checking the Disney discounts.

What are the odds of you being at the top of the waitlist and someone canceling for your dates, for the size room, with the same room category, at the resort you wait listed?

we haven't waitlisted anywhere yet because I did not know if it was a good idea. We just would like a studio or 1 bedroom anywhere it does not matter where.

You can have only 2 waitlists and you have to select a resort, room size, and category for each.
