If I’m on a waitlist is there a way for MS to see where I am on the list?

If they can it doesn't mater, they won't tell you.

No, you can't tell where you are on the list because everyone waitlisting is on for different reasons. Some people only want one night. If you need two nights and one of those nights come available, the person with the waitlist for that one night gets it. They don't hold it until your other night comes through. The other person might have only waitlisted the day before.

Exact matches get the villa before partial matches.
