Waitlist Question

DS 20 just got an internship in Central Florida for the summer and we are planning to fly down June 25th to celebrate his 21st birthday at WDW. Our home resort is Beach Club Villas. I used a complimentary three night stay I was given at any DVC location but only Bay Lake was available. We wanted to come down for 4 nights so the last night is waitlisted. I'm surprised after a week that that one night has not opened up yet. We wanted the extra night to house search in the Windermere area. Would buy at Golden Oaks but don't have a spare $2MM for a starter home there.

Is it possible that longer stays are quicker and filled first on the waitlist than short one night stays? Usually if I waitlist it is for 5+ days.

Nope. Waitlist is filled on an exact-match in order basis. One night stays are easier to fill, but based on your dates, you may be pretty deep on the waitlist.
