Waitlist Question

Question about waitlist. I have a week booked at saratoga springs and i have just one night waitlisted for BLT. If i see an availability for BLT for the night i have waitlisted before the waitlist picks it up how do i go about rebooking the one night from saratoga to BLT. I just don't want to have to borrow more points from next year to have to book that one night and then cancel that one night at saratoga having points now left in the current use year. Is it possible to do this yourself or would you need to call member services?

Honestly, I think the waitlist is working much closer to real-time these days.

If part of your reservation has current UY points, then when you cancel that SSR night, those will be returned to your account and you can bank them to replace the ones you borrowed to secure your night on your own. If are not comfortable doing this, then yes, you would have to wait to call MS.
