Hi, we are booked for a 2bdrm villa at Animal Villas for Nov 25 to Dec 2. I have re thought my reservations and have put us on a waitlist for a 2bedrm dedicated and a 2 bedrm non dedicated at the Beach Club Villas for a split stay Nov 28-Dec 2 transfer. I just called and asked if I would have better luck putting one of the waitlist onto the Boardwalk also. SO I would have 1 for the BCV and 1 for The BWV. She said that I would be better staying and waiting at the BCV because of the wait list length. She said if I cancelled one of the waitlist I would put myself lower on the waitlist for the BWV. I am still wondering if I should do it or stick it out with the 2 waitlist for the BCV. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
THANK YOU!!!

I don't want to be a prophet of doom or anything but in a lot of years at DVC we have never had very good luck with multi day wait list requests. If we wait list for single days they almost always come through. 2 days sometimes come through. One time we had a 3 day wait list come through but never anything longer. I would agree with the poster that said if you have not been on the BCV wait list very long you would probably be wise to switch one to BW, but if you have been waiting more than a couple of weeks I would leave it alone.
I hope i am wrong but I am guessing either way you are probably going to be at AKV.

FWIW I've been on the waitlist for BC since the 7 month window opened for that same time and I'm figuring that I will be staying at the resort I was able to book. Good luck! :flower3:

I've been waitlist for a studio at BCV for the 7 or 6 & 7 of Dec. I've been on checking a few times a day. Today on a whim, I checked for any room, any DVC resort that weekend. Nothing is open. Not one DVC room. I'm not too hopeful.

Did you just recently put the waitlist request in at BCV? I kind of really doubt you will get it. That is over T-day weekend. And you are asking for a week's worth of day's to suddenly open. I have never had a week's waitlist come through. The most I've had is four days and had already been able to book the three prior days at the same resort to give us a week.

We are arriving Nov. 24th and leaving Dec. 1st. Made our home resort reservation at BWV for those dates. At 7 months I tried to switch to BLT or AKV - no luck was put on the waitlist. Through my own efforts of daily stalking the DVC member website I was able to slowly piece those dates together for that week at AKV in a one bedroom. And then I slowly pieced another room for BIL and his family at AKV. However BIL's room was value and I kept my waitlist for a savannah view in tact. Still no luck with that coming through and I'm not too hopeful at this point. Anyway I still check periodically those dates at many of the resorts including BCV and there is usually not even one night that opens up on those dates.

Good luck to ya, but I wouldn't be too hopeful. :(
