Waitlist Question

So I wanted to book 6 nights at BWV in a standardview room. The first of the nights was unavailable and I waitlisted it. The remaining 5 nights were available and I booked them. I'm sure my waitlist was set up correctly since I checked with MS. I was hopeful that my request would come through.

I checked availability online and the night I waitlisted was available!! I checked my waitlist request and it was unfulfilled. I immediately booked the night so now I have all my nights. (The night is once again unavailable)

But WHY wasn't my waitlist request filled? It's no wonder the waitlist is never successful for me!

I think it is a matter of when the waitlist is run for the day. It's not a continuous thing during the day.

Maybe that's why the waitlist never works for me!

I had the same thing happen to me. I was able to book what I had wait listed before the wait list came through. I now know I should have no confidence in the wait list.

Well, I got the first night through a wait list. It had been unavailable at 11 months. I suppose someone was walking. One night wait lists often have come through for me.
