Waitlist Question

We are booked at BLT 1 BR Lake View first week of December and wait listed at BWV 1BR Boardwalk View (which was booked at 7 month window), do you think chances of it coming through at this point are slim to none or do I still have hope?

A full week is hard to get for waitlist. The first week of December is the most requested week of any week by DVC members. BW view villas comprise 20% of the resort at BWV.

Three strikes and I think you have almost no chance of getting that.

I recently pulled together a 5 night BWV garden view studio for mid November. I waitlisted all 5 nights and also booked an AP rate room. I stalked the reservation website and nights 3 to 5 came open, so I booked it and changed the waitlist to nights 1 & 2. Then night 2 was on the website, so I booked it and changed the waitlist to just night 1. Night 1 is Nov 10, Sunday night of Vets day weekend. I really didn't expect it to come through but I kept watching the website. To my amazement, last Sunday afternoon I got an e-mail from DVC for all 5 nights! Night 1 came through, they cancelled the other 4 nights and modified the night 1 reservation to all 5 nights. Then I cancelled the AP reservation, saving $286 a night!

Boardwalk view would be harder but I would keep watching the website to see if some of your nights came open.

I think it would be pretty much impossible at this point. I own at BWV and I have been checking availability there quite often and it rarely opens up. But maybe the waitlist is just working?
