Waitlist Question

I just realized today that I had completely forgotten to make my reservations on Dec. 2 for my Nov. trip next year. We had planned to go Nov. 2nd through Nov. 8th. We always stay in a standard view studio at the BWV to save on points.

When I checked this morning the only days available were Sat. Nov. 2 and Tues. Nov. 5th. We need to complete our trip before Nov. 11 in order to get 3 trips out of our annual passes so I checked in October and found 3 nights together on Tues. Oct. 22, Wed. Oct. 23 and Thurs. Oct. 24. So, I grabbed those nights and now we plan to make our trip from Sat. Oct. 19 to Fri. Oct 25.

Should I try to waitlist just the 3 nights we don't have yet from Oct. 19 to Oct. 22? If I get those nights can they combine the 2 reservations together. Has anybody had any luck picking up missing nights by checking online?

I would await list those nights and I would check online often and pick them up if they are available. Then I would call and modify my waitlist. I managed to put together 5 nights in a standard 1br at the boardwalk doing just that for last week. I used 2 different memberships so I had 3 linked reservations and didn't have to move. Just get new room keys on ckin days

We also have been able to pick up nights by looking on the website VERY often. My biggest times of success seemed to be 8pm at night and very early AM (5&6 am).
I was able to pick up 3 nights standard view at BWV with holding points during the first week of December. Just short of a miracle to pick that up! I was also able to piece together 6 nights Bw view in October getting the first nights starting in May and adding as late as the week of checkin. I LOVE online booking. Do not think I would have gotten either of those with calling as I would have not called nearly as often as I was able to look online.
