I have SSR booked for a week Oct 9th. I would like VWL but a few days aren't available. Should I cancel SSR, book what's available at VWL and waitlist the unavailable days? I have the whole week waitlisted now but I don't really know how it works and what would be easier. TIA :confused3

Would you be able to make a split stay out of the SSR and VWL available nights (such as 3 nights at SSR and 2 nights at VWL)? That might be an option as you put in the waitlist for VWL. If the days are not consecutive, then it might be best to keep SSR while the waitlist for VWL (hopefully) comes through. It depends on how much of a worrier and a gambler you are.
Good luck.

Depends on the mix of days. Stephen is correct and that is what I would do. Getting a couple of days on a wait list is easier than a full week.

I would do this...I have done it.
Last year, I waitlisted for BWV for three out of 8 nights, and I also waitlisted all 8 nights in a 1 BR. We ended up getting the 4 nights..not the whole stay.

Thanks! Right now, the days aren't available for a split stay at VWL but I will keep playing around with days. Hopefully I can come up with something. I'm not crazy about a split stay but it would be a great way to experience different places.
