Waitlist question

We have reserved five nights at OKW for September and three nights at BWV. However, in the middle, Saturday and Sunday night, we are wait listed for a standard view at BWV.



My question is: Is there a way to "follow up" on a wait list request? Does it do any good to call occasionally and follow up on the room request? Or, do I just assume that the CM at DVC are giving me their best effort?

It doesn't hurt to call, and call often. We were placed on a wait list for our Christmas reservations. The CM advised that I call a couple of times a day. So I'd call once in the morning and once in the afternoon at a minimum. During each call the CM would check the database to see what's available. It's surprising how something open's up while your on the phone with the CM. Only once did I get a CM that seemed annoyed that I called. The rest encouraged it. The wait list did come through for us. We have a habit of making last minute plans, ie. less than the 7 month window, hence we have been on the wait list quite often. It has never failed us (knock on wood).
