Hello-

I was planning on running the WDW Marathon this January and was waitlisted for OKW and SSR for the weekend (we are booked at VWL for the following week). I have recently had some health issues and because I haven't been recovering as quickly as I should, my doctor and I agree that I should drop out of the marathon and give my body time to fully heal. We will still take our vacation the week after the marathon. Can I cancel my waitlist request? Would I just call MS to cancel?

Thanks in advance!

You could just call to cancel if you do not want to be there at that time. We were there marathon weekend last year and found to parks to be really busy. This year we are checking in on Sunday (full Marathon day) and checking out the following Sunday (MLK weekend). We are hoping the weekdays will be less busy.
:cool1: So glad we are going this January again!!! Just booked this week!

We checked in last year on Marathon Sunday. Epcot was a little busy that night with post marathon celebrators but Monday and Tuesday were not busy at all. We usually go in the summer and we loved the lack of crowds that week. We are coming in a few days before Marathon this year, but starting out at Vero and coming in to BWV on Marathon Sunday.
