Waitlist Question

OK, the good news is my waitlist came through for a Studio 12/12/-12/15 I just checked the member website, and we got SSR.

Now, my next question is: can I waitlist for a different resort, while keeping your current ressie at SSR. In other words, could I put in a waitlist for the same dates but at 2 "preferred" DVC locations and then if one of them became available, they'd switch the points over to the other location?

Will I become one of those members that MS rolls their eyes at , or do people do these things all the time? (I Don't, which is why I'm so Confused!!)

Am I right that any change would have to happen within a 31-day window (i.e. by Nov 11th)?

Any and all advice appreciated, as always!!!

Yes you can waitlist at another resort while keeping your current ressie. Just make sure you specify that.

MS might roll their eyes but you will never know.

You can also ask to stay on the waitlist until 7 days out, rather than 30. Just let MS know your preference when you call.

I call MS and tell them I'd like to go on a waitlist for VWL and AKV for the same nights I have the SSR ressie for, but I want to Keep my SSR ressie unless the waitlist comes through, and I'd like to do the waitlist up to 7 days.

Then, up to 7 days before I might get one of the other ones (and it will just be switched), but if I don't we just go to SSR as now planned. . ?

Anything else I need to know?

Yes, you have it right. After the 7-day mark the waitlist will expire but you can call MS daily to see if anything has opened up anywhere else.
