Waitlist question

My DH and I are using our DVC points for the first time in October !!! But my question is....one of our nights we are on a waitlist, will they let us know if it comes through? Or do we keep checking in with them? Thanks for your help in advance

Hi: The way I found out a waitlist came through was on the member website. When you view your vacation details, you will see the change (in my case, a boardwalk view came up for my sil's room). MS doesn't call you, but you can call them if you want. Good luck!

I kept my vacation page on the DVC website open for days and refreshed the screen every so often, and was when my waitlist came through!

They recently made a change. They still do not notify you if you want it, however if your on the list, they book it immediately and sent you the papers. So make sure you want what your wait listing for. friends of mine just got switch out of Animal Kingdom Lodge to wilderness lodge villas. They had first wait listing AK and never removed themselves from the wait list. Disney changed the reservation they wanted and put them into on they didn't. They could not switch back. If you wait list make sure you remove yourself from the list if you book somewhere else.
