Waitlist on new DVC site?

what am I doing wrong? Oct 4 th BWV st studio is not available. I tried to wait list but it says no rooms available, THAT'S WHY I WANT TO WAITLIST for the 4th OCT why can't I WL, I'm I forgetting something?

If you are trying to waitlist via the RAT, try the regular website and see what happens.

Realize that the RAT actually just links you to the online booking tool so you can just choose to go straight there to set up the waitlist.

1) Otherwise, when you scroll down thru the availability showing at BWV on the RAT you'll see text stating "No Availability - Waitlist Only". (yeah, clear as mud Disney IT!) You want to click on that text and it will show you the categories that did not have availability.

2) Next you click on "View Availability Calendar" next to the standard view studio villa.

3) That will pop open the calendar and finally you can click on the button saying "Waitlist 1-Night Stay". That is the button that takes you over to the online booking tool where you do the search on the room and then set up the waitlist (and why you could just skip the previous 3 steps and just go right there immediately once you see the date isn't available).

thanks Kathy I did know all that but like you said Availability - Waitlist Only". (yeah, clear as mud Disney IT!)

I just master the last site WHEN IT WORKED and now here we go again. I must be dumb thinking Disney IT would make something really easy.

these are the responses I get for the same times and looking at 2 resorts. For a WAIT list how can 1 resort say (Sorry, no rooms were found for your selected dates or room types) no kidding its a waitlist.

and the other resort say

If you click on your desired room (say you wanted to wait list the Value), you would see the following screen. Notice at the botton there is a button to 'waitlist'. This button will send you to the regular on-line booking page with your selection criteria pre-filled. You still need to execute a search on the on-line booking page to get the real option to setup the wait list.

There is a bit of an apparent bug. Or maybe it's a "feature" that I don't think makes complete sense. I searched on those dates and one of the BWV standard view studios was available for a night. It then switched to book that night rather than waitlist the 4 nights - fairly confusing. Now, of course, it actually doesn't matter at all what it says on that button because it just takes you to the booking engine where you can change but I think IT needs to work on this more. That and add the ability to view the calendar even when all the availability is there for your nights. After all, this is a RAT, not the booking tool.
