Waitlist? Not enough points

I currently have 3 nights booked in an AKV value 1 bedroom. I'm trying to add 3 more nights. Since this seems like it may be difficult I'm trying to figure out my waitlist options. What I need help with is can I be on a waitlist if the room I'm waiting for will be more points than I have?

I will need 81 points for the 3 nights that I want. I currently have 76 points. Can MS make a note that I want to waitlist for the 3 nights and if they come available to borrow the 5 points from my next use year?

Yes, you can put in a wait list that authorizes them to borrow points to fill it, as long as there are points to borrow.

You are not allowed to wait list if you need the one time purchase points.
