Waitlist less than 30 days

Booked at 3 night last minute trip and would rather be at a different resort.

Has anyone ever had a waitlist filled for a trip that’s less than 30 days out? Am I just wasting my time? I’m also stalking the site several times a day but nothing has popped up.

Yes it worked for us. If you book with less points than the original, the points saved will go into holding, because you are less then 30 days. Good luck.

I've actually done this more often than not. A lot pops up at 30 days and even last minute. My club level wait list even filled.

Put a couple waitlists on it that would thrill you. You never know.

Just remember that any waitlist that fills or change you make for less points will result in those left over points becoming holding points. But, if you want something that is more points, then it is not an issue.

I have not had a waitlist fill in that timeframe, but I have been very successful in changing things during it. Most often, its a few nights only, and we will do split stays so that helps..

I had a WL fill at 8 days out last year for BWV pool view studio for 4 nights. I was shocked.

You can have 2 WL per UY per membership at any given time. They don’t have to be same resort.

Yes. You are allowed two active waitlists per use year. Each booking category & villa size requires a separate waitlist.

We’re in the teens and holding out slight hope for a last minute WL match. Both WL’s span several days so, the probability is not in our favor. I can’t complain bc BWV is great but, I’d love a different bedding situation.

Yeah my waitlist is for 4 nights. I’m currently at SSR but would rather be at Kidani or OWK. 18 more days until my trip and I just don’t think my WL is going to come through.

Ive always wondered if less than 30 days ups your shot at all. I’ve got a WL and for the first time ever I selected the “7 days” …interested to see if that opens up any more possibility vs. 31 days. No loss either way since this would just be one extra day on the front end of our confirmed stay.

We only do 1 night waitlist and they rarely come in. We had a one night Bwv standard studio in May that didn’t match and we had a one night Bwv pool view studio that didn’t match. We have a one night, Wednesday august 31 studio HH resort that hasnt matched yet either. we Always have a backup room.
